Officers of security agencies in Ido Local Government have been charged to collaborate with local security groups like Amotekun, OPC, Vigilante and others in order to effectively combat the present insecurity in the state.
Hon. Sherrif Adeojo, the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government area of Oyo State gave this charge during the extended peace and security meeting held at the Council Secretariat on Friday.
According the Council boss, a joint Task Force with Officers of security agencies as well as members of local security groups will be inaugurated soonest.
In his words, "working together as a team will definitely guarantee effective policing of our communities", he stated.
Hon. Adeojo, however, assured the security agencies at the meeting that his administration will always support them in terms of logistics.

He thereafter enjoined religious leaders not to relent in their prayers for Oyo State and the country at large in order to overcome the present security challenges.
In their contributions at the meeting, Officers of security agencies enjoined members of the public to desist from keeping huge amount of money at home.
They also advised that proper identification of okada riders should be carried out without further delay in order to checkmate criminal activities of some of them.
Present at the crucial meeting were Mrs Ronke Aremu, Head of Local Government Administration; Mr. Sunday Idowu, Director of Administration and General Services; Bishop Daniel Oluwajimade and Alhaji Waliyulahi Sanusi, the Chief Imam of Ido.
